  • Thursday, November 8, 2012 - An Evening with Dr. Michael Fowlin.

In his powerful performance piece, “You Don't Know Me Until You Know Me”, actor/psychologist/poet Michael Fowlin will take us on a journey beyond tolerance to genuine worldwide inclusion – the “celebration of our differences and the acceptance of our shared experiences.”  Poughkeepsie Day School

This recent documentary gets consistent raves for revealing how misrepresentations of women in the media contribute to the under-representation of women in influential positions.  Discussion following.

Dick Gregory, a civil rights activist, author, politician and comedian will take the stage at Marist to deliver his hard-hitting observations of contemporary life with a genial big-heartedness that has made him an American icon.

Fresh from her experience at the UN, AAUW Poughkeepsie Branch former President and Woman of the Year, Geeta Desai, will deepen our understanding of and connection with the plight of women internationally.
