"A City on the Hudson"

In 1983, Poughkeepsie Branch AAUW premiered a film on the 300 year history of the City of Poughkeepsie.  This semester Professor Erica Avrami, PhD and the James Marston Fitch Assistant Professor of Historic Preservation at Columbia University is teaching a studio class “PAST AS PROLOGUE: Preservation as a Tool for Social Inclusion Poughkeepsie, NY.”   Our film will be viewed by students as part of the class.  A description of her class is available HERE>>

As a community service and to provide help for our members, a list was created of places to recycle items in good condition.  It was developed by Barbara Van Itallie, with suggestions from many members, and distributed by Mary Ann Boylan.
