How to Participate
We have three types of ongoing activities:
Interest Groups for AAUW members only
Community Service Initiatives and Board Committees include members and non-members
General Membership Programs/Meetings for all members and the
Some require a fee for a meal served or entertainment provided.
Members usually participate to the extent possible. Members may participate in as many Interest Groups or Community Service Initiatives or Committees as they wish. We encourage all members to attend the General Membership programs/meetings which are held September through June most often on the second Thursday of the month but do check the website or newsletter for details.
We have 21 Interest Groups which meet once a month and run the gamut from book groups to trekking and cuisine. You can join a group by calling the group coordinator. Groups and contact information for coordinators is listed under Programs/ Interest Groups or here>>
We have 7 Community Service Initiatives and 3 Board Committees that provide volunteers opportunities for our members. To become familiar with our programs and to participate contact the Program Chair. Meeting schedules of the Community Service Initiatives and Board Committees vary. The contact information is available under Programs/Community Service or Programs/ Board Committees or use the search function on the home page.

An additional resource to help you participate is our Membership Booklet which describes our Interest Groups, Events, Programs and Community Service Initiatives in greater detail. The booklet is updated and published yearly for the new member reception in September. You will find a printer friendly format here.
